We made it! It is finally here – Christmas Eve followed by Christmas Day. My favorite holiday of the entire year. I am sooo excited! I even stayed up late wrapping presents last night so that I can enjoy time with my family without stressing over the mounds of gifts waiting to be wrapped. And the best part of all is that my husband just got back home to us from UK and we will be yet again, all together as family.
Its magical to watch how differently my little girls are experiencing this very special season year after year, absorbing and understanding more and more… asking all sort of funny questions now like “Mummy, how old is Santa?” and “What does he like for breakfast?” …and you make it up as you go along, of course… 😊
As this is my last blog before Christmas Day, I wanted to take a moment to share what I feel to be the most important part for me. I think the following expresses it best:
Finding the real joy of Christmas comes not in the hurrying and the scurrying to get more done. We find the real joy of Christmas when we make LOVE being the focus of the season. Co-creating the spirit of Christmas, remembering love in every action, sharing with poor, noticing the magic in little things. That’s true Christmas for me and my family.
Our celebration of Christmas should be a reflection of the love and selflessness. Giving, not getting, brings to full bloom the Christmas spirit. We behave more kindly to one to another. We reach out in love to help those less fortunate. Our hearts are softened. Enemies are forgiven and friends remembered.
The spirit of Christmas illuminates the picture window of the soul, and we look out upon the world’s busy life and become more interested in people than in things.
May we all remember the true meaning of Christmas and may we celebrate the holiday in a way that pays tribute to Love and Compassion.
I want to wish each of you a very, merry Christmas full of hugs, laughter, togetherness of the family and friends, happiness and joy. I wish each of you to have whatever Christmas miracle you have been praying for. I believe that magic happens at Christmas. I truly do.
Merry Christmas to you all 😊
