Becoming a mother is a very special and personal journey. It is time of major life changes and transformation on many levels. It is scary, exciting and beautiful time of our life filled with doubts and worries as well as overwhelming sense of responsibility and unexpected moments of bliss and new sense of unconditional love.

A woman nurtures her unborn baby during the 9 months of pregnancy and at the same time, she is growing and nurturing herself into a new role – that of motherhood.

Pregnant women naturally experience daily shifts and changes in their body, their energy levels and emotions. Yoga is very practical and extremely effective companion for mothers-to-be on their journey through this adaptation process, so they can gradually face all the challenges with grace and ease.

Yoga offers a firm foundation and resources to women and their families for the decades of mothering that lie ahead, providing an useful ways to self-care and nurture.

Uma Dinsmore-Tuli describes yoga as: “effective system of self-care and spiritual development where yoga and pregnancy act as ‘natural partners’ ”
